Valerio Sterzi

I am associate professor (Maître de conférences, HDR) in Economics at GREThA CNRS UMR 5113 & University of Bordeaux and member of the board of directors and chairman of the Strategic and Scientific Committee at VIA-INNO (research platform on technology intelligence attached to GREThA, University of Bordeaux - https://viainno.u-bordeaux.fr/). Since 2019, I've been Deputy Director of GREThA's ISI Program (Innovation-Science-Industry) and in charge of Axis 2 of this program (Economics of Science).

My main research interests focus on economics of innovation and economics of patents. Currently I am working on the role of patent intermediaries and non-practicing entities in the patent marketplace and to the implications of the lack of transparency in the patent market thanks to the NPEIE project (https://npeie.org/) supported by the French National Research Agency and two research grants by IP2I-GOOGLE. Since October 2020 I've been advisor on Innovation and Intellectual Property at the Economic Transfortion and Development Division, OECD Development Centre.
